3 peat Walkoff!

Thank You To Neal Yaros Photography for the photo!

The Yankees have done something over the past few days that they have not done since the seventies. Three straight walkoffs is far more luck than skill (although obviously involves some). For a walkoff streak, a team must be on a homestand and just manage to squeak by.

But, the Yankees managed to do it.

On to the game - Burnett and Joba need to stop wasting pitches on 0-2 because they constantly get high pitch counts.

A-rod is making the most dramatic difference for everyone - especially Tex.

Also, Brett Gardner did not make a bad play when he went for home. There would have been 2 outs because Mauer would have thrown the guy out at first. Mauer made a superb play and I like the aggressive style.

It didnt look to me that the batter would be out at first -- but cant tell. i assume Gardner was instructed to try to come home by the 3d base coach. if so it was a good try. i would not have made the same call with one out.
