Pelfrey has not been great by any standards, but he certainly has been serviceable and scrappy. I expect him to get better as the season moves on and he continues to get more comfortable in the Bigs.
Perez has been a complete waste of money. He has gotten out of the fifth inning once this year and has more walks allowed than strikeouts!
I think he needs some Chin Ming Wang treatment and miraculously wake up with a pulled glut or something like that. He needs some pitching rehab in the minors.
One last note: Danny Haren is this year's Matt Cain (or the ultimate version - Randy Johnson on the D' Backs circa 2004 ... 2.60 ERA 0.90 WHIP 290 strikeouts with a sad 16-14 win/loss)
