The Mets have been playing exceedingly well; however, today they failed to score many runs and did not play much defense either.
In Santana's 2 loses, he has pitched 13 and a third and given up a whopping 0 earned runs.
The Mets have been much more consistent of late, but Jerry Manuel's comments after tonight's game don't sound good. He said that when Santana pitches the team gets too pumped and they play poorly. If the team is too pumped in April, how are they supposed to play well in September and if they are lucky, October.
But, hey, they are in a much better spot than the team from the Bronx.
